Searching criteria in BINGOOO
User-friendly struture and praxis-oriented searching criteria in BINGOOO enable you to find specific information referring to certain subjects.
The basic searching criteria categories and agents help you to define your query most precisely before entering your individual search term. Categories and agents are shown in the left-hand panel of the BINGOOO interface (agent window).
Categories describe the general subject area (for example "economy" or "news"). Please choose a category first before selecting a special agent. The categories are labeled by coloured boxes.
Agents are specialized searching engines searching through special fields of knowledge within a category and therefor subordinated to their respective category. Each agent refers to various sources. The agent window shows always the agents to the category actually chosen.
The search in BINGOOO is based on several steps:
1. At first, you click on the required category in the agent panel in order to define the general subject (e.g. Economy of Shopping).
2. As soon as you have chosen a category the specific agents belonging to it will appear underneath (e.g. for the category Economy the agents Stocks/Search or Stocks & Quotes). These agents are meant for special subjects within the general category. You can choose one agent by clicking on it. The agent chosen is automatically marked.
3. Depending on the choice of the agent you will find one or more input fields in the agent-specific keyword line. Here you can enter your search term(s) (e.g. in the category Economy, agent Jobs the search term "programmer"). You will find the keyword line above the result window.
Attention:
Agents providing you mainly with current news (Newsticker) are started just by the start command. Here, you won't find an input field (e.g. in the German ia-file: category Wirtschaft, agent B÷rsenticker).
Once you have entered your keyword, you can start the search either through the Search menu, with the Start symbol or with Enter.
The search results will be presented in the result table. You can open a single result in the browser panel with a simple mouse click. Then you will be shown the original website in the integrated browser.
